A funny wine, maybe going through an awkward stage. It’s pale, light-bodied, silky, acidic and bone dry, with cherry, orange zest, root beer, kid leather and vanilla spice flavors. Resembles a decent Barbaresco at a young age. Seems a bit simple now, but could develop bottle complexity over the next five years.——S.H.(10/1/2007)—— 87
