Named after the proprietor's first child, the 1999 Pinot Noir Christian David (68 cases) was made from 100% Pommard clones from the Hirsch Vineyard. Tight, backward, and tannic, this dense ruby/purple-colored Pinot possesses plenty of structure, but also impressive concentration and overall equilibrium. It needs 1-2 years of cellaring, and should keep for 12 or more years. (Release date 9/01)Tel. (707) 578-3882; fax (707) 578-3884.
