An Australian icon, De Bortoli's 2015 Noble One Botrytis Semillon continues the terrific run of successes under this label since 1982. Full-bodied, thick and unctuous in style, it delivers layers of candied oranges and super ripe stone fruit on a creamy-textured palate, then lingers for minutes on the finish. Unlike Sauternes, the finished alcohol is under 12%, which makes the wine quite sweet but also very drinkable.
