(this wine is known as The Angelus in Australia) Saturated ruby-red. Strikingly complex, sexy bouquet of red- and blackcurrant, rose, cigar box and pungent herbs: textbook cabernet. Smooth red and dark berry flavors are braced by dusty tannins and gain a subtle chocolate quality with air. Licorice and sweet herbs linger on the sappy finish, which features silky tannins and good mineral bite. I wouldn't hesitate to age this for another ten years.
