Baked fruit nose. Creamy cassis palate, sleek, silky. One-dimensional, but well made. A bit too much alcohol on the finish.

Bright red. Cherry-vanilla, singed plum and cigar box on the nose, with a smoky quality adding complexity. Supple and open-knit, offering sweet cherry, dark berry and vanilla bean flavors and a seamless texture. Not a fat style but not skinny either, and drinking very well now. Finishes broad and persistent, with spicy oak showing. This wine is called Angelus in Australia.
