The 1995 Zinfandel Sonoma Station, 75% Zinfandel, with the balance Alicante and Petite Sirah, is a medium to full-bodied, currently unexpressive Zinfandel that still merits high marks because of its large size, excellent purity, and mouthfilling richness. While it appears to lack complexity, it is long, chewy, and well-made, but chunky and monochromatic. It should drink well for 5-7 years. The 1995 Ridge Zinfandels are made in a backward, austere style, and, with the exception of the Geyserville, Lytton Springs, and Paso Robles, they are wines that may not develop as much character as previous vintages.
