The 1999 Shiraz (100% Shiraz that achieved 14.5% alcohol and was aged in 50% new oak, most of which was American) is an opaque ruby/purple-colored wine with classic smoky black fruits in the nose, along with some licorice and pepper. The wine is deep, full-bodied, and admirably concentrated, with a plush texture, and serious opulence and length. This thick, juicy fruit bomb can be drunk now and over the next decade. One thousand cases were produced.
