The 2009 Pinot Grigio is rich and textured, with good varietal character. Like so many 2009 whites from Alto Adige, there is an element of heaviness that robs the wine of the freshness and verve that informs the finest years. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2012. Proprietor Martin Foradori may be best known for his higher-end wines, but readers will find plenty to like in these more approachable entry-level offerings.
