The 2011 La Tour Figeac boasts a dark ruby/purple color as well as sweet notes of black cherries, black currants, forest floor and flowers. Rich on the attack and mid-palate, and narrowing slightly in the finish, it is a complete, relatively concentrated St.-Emilion that should provide enjoyable and complex drinking over the next 10-12+ years. It is a sleeper of the vintage.

A balanced wine with plums and orange peel character. Medium to full body with firm tannins and a medium finish. Pretty.

Features a solid ganache frame, with a core of steeped plum, blackberry and fig notes, allied to a graphite spine on the finish. Well-built, with the vintage's briary grip embedded in the fruit. Best from 2016 through 2024. –JM

Vibrant with juicy fruit on the palate. Satisfying and natural. Structured for mid-term ageing but will be pleasing early on. Drink 2016-2025. (16 points)
