Dry Creek Valley seems to coax a wild, feral quality from Sauvignon Blanc. Gooseberries, nettles, fresh green thyme and dandelion greens all give a rich earthiness to the usual citrus, fig and melon flavors. Acidity in this wine is high, too, giving it a crisp, clean mouthfeel. Very nice, at a great price. ——S.H.(12/15/2006)—— 87
