The 2009 Pinot Noir Lola is named for Prosser’s child and is composed of fruit from Shea, Gemini, and Temperance Hill. Hints of herbs, cinnamon, clove, rose petal, black cherry, and black raspberry set the stage for a savory, surprisingly powerful wine for the vintage. There is plenty of structure here but little Lola will need to begin imbibing at a relatively young age to enjoy this impressive cuvee at its best.(Price not yet determined)New father Jim Prosser is well-established in his winery on Parrot Hill in the Chehalem Mountains AVA. He is pleased by the fact that he was able to bring all of his 2009s in under 14% alcohol.Tel. (503) 554-0721; www.jkcarriere.com
