The light-bodied 1991 Peromato Tinto is a straightforward, richly fruity, berry-scented and flavored wine with good body, chewy glycerin and heady alcohol in its silky smooth finish. It is meant to be drunk within 5-6 years of the vintage. The wines of this bodega in Spain's Toro region have consistently made my "Best Buys" reports. I tasted the 1986 Black Label Gran Reserva, but I cannot recommend it because of the excessive oak that dominates the wine's personality. The Bodegas Farina is represented by numerous importers, including Europvin, USA, Watertown, MA.
