The 1982 Dickerson Vineyard is seemingly fully mature, but it displays little amber at the edge, nor any signs of decline in its sweet, expansive, black berry fruitiness. The nose offers up the spicy, cedary, herb, and tobacco scents that can be detected in the 1984 Dickerson Vineyard. In the mouth, I do not believe the 1982 is as concentrated as the 1984, but it is an impressively rich, full-bodied wine that offers considerable flamboyance and personality.
