The 2004 ‘The Brave’ Shiraz has a very deep garnet-black color and somewhat suppressed notes of dried mulberries, kirsch and blackberry liqueur over fresh rolling tobacco, espresso, milk chocolate, tree bark and black truffles. Very crisp and very rich on the palate, it has firm, grainy tannins and generous amounts of berry and savory flavored flesh. It gives a long chewy finish. It’s fully open now with some capacity for further evolvement, drinking well to 2016+. No known USA importer.
