The large-scaled, dry 1992 Zinfandel Dusi Ranch (14.9% alcohol) displays a deep ruby/purple color, and a forceful, expansive nose of crushed, jammy black-cherries and loamy, earthy scents. Full-bodied, with an unctuous texture, and plenty of glycerin and fatness, this chewy, decadent Zinfandel can be drunk over the next 7-8 years.
The third straight superlative vintage for Ridge, its three 1992 Zinfandels (Geyserville Proprietary Red Wine, Dusi Ranch and Lytton Springs) are big, rich, decadent wines with higher alcohol levels than the 1991s or 1990s, and possibly more voluptuous and opulent textures.
