The 2016 Apartado Gran Malbec is a selection from Gualtallary and Altamira with a little bit from an old vineyard from La Consulta. It matured in French oak barrels, 50% new, 50% second use for 18 months. It's a very nice blend, with clean and focused aromas and flavors and a spicy and fresh touch in the palate. The oak is very integrated, almost unnoticeable, with very tasty flavors and a dry, serious finish. 13,200 bottles produced. It was bottled in September 2018.

Rich and well-spiced, with finely textured flavors of raspberry, red currant and plum supported by fresh acidity and tannins. Chocolate and pastry accents on the finish. Drink now through 2024. 700 cases made, 150 cases imported.??–KM??Region: Argentina / Mendoza Select to Add

A Malbec that combines grapes from different parts of the Uco Valley, aged for 18 months in French oak, 50% of it new. Oenologist Mariano Di Paola also macerates it for 15 days. Harvested during a cold year, it is purple in the glass, with a nose of mint and herbs initially followed by blueberry, blackberry and black currant, along with a tight trace of wood resin. Intense and fleshy on the palate and fresh and juicy on the tongue, it offers a hint of chalk in the texture and a lengthy finish of fruit and herbs.
