The 2006 Yarra Edge Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a single vineyard wine made 100% from this grape. Very deep garnet-purple colored, it has intense aromas of warm black currant, smoked duck, pencil shavings and faint whiffs of menthol and capsicum. Medium-high acid and a medium-firm level of fine tannins provide ample freshness and a good, ripe texture. The mid-palate is nicely weighted and the finish is long.
