The 2002 Pinot Noir Cargasacchi Vineyard’s dense plum/purple color is followed by an exuberant projected nose of forest floor, dark berries, cola, fresh mushrooms, and subtle oak. A muscular, well-endowed wine with outstanding potential, it is more structured than the two previous Pinots, with more noticeable tannin. It requires another year of bottle age.
