The 2005 Lavia+ is 100% Monastrell sourced from 70- to 80-year-old ungrafted vines. It spent 13 months in 300-liter barrels followed by 3 months in foudre prior to bottling without fining or filtration. Purple-colored, it exhibits a cedar, earthy, leather, and blueberry-scented bouquet with a layering of spicy fruit, soft tannin, good balance and enough structure to improve for another 2-3 years in the bottle.
