This wine has turned out far better than I initially thought it would. It has none of the hard tannins so typical of the 1975 vintage, but rather, a soft, elegant, medium-bodied, ripe, fruity nose and flavors, complemented nicely by some vanillin-scented new oak. The wine displays some amber at the edge, and given its lightness and softness, it should be consumed. Anticipated maturity: Now-may be in decline. Last tasted, 11/90.
