This estate, situated south of the enchanted old Roman city of Nimes, is making some of the best wines of southern France. Chateau de Campuget's 1992 red, a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah, reveals a deep ruby/purple color, a big, spicy, black-cherry-scented nose, excellent ripeness, and rich, fleshy fruit. It will make for a voluptuous mouthful of juicy red and black fruits over the next 2-3 years. Importer: Robert Kacher Selections, Washington, DC.
