The 2010 Terras d’El Rei red is a blend of 50% Trincadeira, 30% Aragonez and 20% Castelao. This is a bottling that provides some value if you like its style and in the short run many will like it better than the score suggests. There is a sweet finish, but it is cut and made more serious by an herbal note, perhaps a result of the blending of these very different grapes. It does not have a lot of depth, and has a bit of a Beaujolais-esque feel to it, but it does have nice texture and just a little bit of a backbone. It may not last long at peak. Drink now-2014.
