Made from extremely old vines, the 2011 Cotes du Rhone-Villages Rasteau La Boutine is virtually all Grenache cropped at a microscopic 17 hectoliters per hectare. This wine is loaded with strawberries and cherries intermixed with notes of loamy soil, ground pepper and roasted herbs de Provence. Enjoy this medium to full-bodied Rasteau over the next 4-5 years.

This outstanding estate is located in Rasteau and owns over 160 acres of vines. Proprietor Gilles Ferran uses his friend Philippe Cambie as his consulting oenologist, even though Ferran himself was trained as an oenologist at the University of Montpellier. These are all top-notch wines.
