This is A-1 Amarone. It has a classy, traditional prune and chocolate nose, which comes in front of a perfectly pure palate of dried cherry, plum and dark chocolate. The finish answers the challenge, delivering black tea and tannins, but in layer upon airy layer. ——W.E.(5/1/2003)—— 91
