The 2004 Gruner Veltliner Kamptaler Terrassen certainly scores high for having aimed low in price. This excellent value exhibits a fetching aroma of sweet pea and honeydew melon, a juicy, upliftingly bright and caressingly clinging palate impression, and a subtle, garden-fresh and minerally suggestive finish. This is the sort of Gruner Veltliner of which I cannot have enough in my house, and it is virtually guaranteed to taste at least as good when the weather begins warming up in 2006.
