The 1998 Reserva spent 27 months in new French and American oak. This harmonious wine is a bright medium ruby with attractive aromatics of cedar, tobacco, earth, vanilla, red currants, and blackberry. On the palate it is elegant and seamless with round, ripe fruit already nuanced from bottle aging. Oak, tannin, and acidity are nicely integrated and the finish lengthy. Drink this stylish wine over the next 6-8 years.
