The white 2014 Navaherreros Blanco de Bernabeleva is a blend of 60% Albillo Real and 40% Macabeo (aka Viura) from 35- to 90-year-old vines planted on granite soils at 700 to 800 meters altitude. Like all of the wines here, it fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured in used 300- and 600-liter oak barrels for nine months. There are some aromas of dry hay, white and yellow fruit and some hints of pollen. The palate is fresh and focused, with some austerity, fresh and young but not banal. 14,000 bottles produced.
