Beautiful sweet raspberry, wild mountain berry, incense, wood smoke, and autumnal vegetation-like characteristics emerge from the 2006 Pinot Noir Ferrington Vineyard. Its underbrush component along with pure fruit, medium to full body, sweet tannin, and good acidity make for a gorgeous Pinot to drink over the next 5-6 years. These wines were a remarkable discovery. Anderson Valley is becoming one of the “hot” new cool climate sources of not only white varietals, but also increasing quantities of high quality Pinot Noir. Breggo Cellars’ label pays homage to what used to be a robust sheep farming area, now replaced by grapevines.
