The N.V. Oloroso Viejisimo V.O.R.S. has notes of ginger, marmalade, and smoked nuts leading to a rather soft, round yet intense mid-palate. It is outstanding but not quite inspiring.The “Prestige 50” Sherries from Bodegas Pedro Romero carry the new V.O.R.S. designation authorized by the Jerez-Xeres-Sherry D.O. standing for Very Old Rare Sherry.
