The 2003 Gran Reserva spent 24 months in French and American oak. Deep purple in color, its bouquet reveals a slightly roasted character (2003 was a record hot vintage), abundant black fruits, and some earthy minerality. On the palate it reveals some elegance and a smooth texture but is in need of greater depth and volume. This savory offering can be approached now and will last for another 8-10 years.
