Made from two vineyards, the 2007 Brancott Valley Pinot Noir spent 18 months in Burgundy barriques, 10% new. Medium ruby colored, it presents a nose of warm cherries, dark chocolate, coffee, dusty earth and touches of moss covered tree bark and loam. Medium-full bodied, there’s a good concentration of layered flavors supported by high acid and a low to medium level of fine tannins, finishing long. Drinking now, it should cellar through 2015.
