Medium red. Aromas of plum, strawberry, cherry, smoke and cinnamon, plus a whiff of fresh herbs. Bright and spicy, with a slightly green, medicinal component to the red cherry-dominated flavor. Finishes with light tannins, a bit of unabsorbed acidity and some saline and mineral traces. A nicely textured wine in a rather Burgundian style for a pinot from Central Otago.
