The 2005 SYRAH was aged in French and American oak for 12 months. I think this would be my pick of Recanati’s low priced single varietal wines, but like the Merlot and Cabernet reviewed here, it is simple and bland, with modest concentration and a nominal finish, although pleasant enough and reasonably tasty.
