The most open and hedonistic of this quartet is the 2002 Pinot Noir Julia’s Vineyard. An exuberant, flamboyant, broad, evolved bouquet of red and black fruits, underbrush, smoke, salty sea breeze, plums, and a hint of vanilla is followed by a fleshy, medium to full-bodied, open-knit wine that offers a delightful combination of hedonistic and intellectual pleasures. Consume it over the next 7-8 years. The wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered.
