The 2009 Reserva has a modern profile with lactic and coffee notes and ripe red fruit aromas, all of them in a clean style, and a palate where the flavors of the fruit are well-intermixed with those of the oak and it is easy to drink. Drink 2014-2016. I must admit I was a little puzzled by such a wide portfolio from Luis Alegre, which I didn’t know very well, and I was greatly surprised to find some superb wines, including one of my favorite oak-aged whites, and some others that I found excessively oaky and similar to each other.
