The regular red 2014 Valderiz is a blend of grapes from six different plots planted with Tempranillo and as with all the old vineyards in the zone, some white Albillo. It fermented with natural yeasts and matured in oak barrels and some larger foudres for some 20 months. I'm missing here the finesse I was expecting in this wine, which felt a little too ripe and came through as warm and quite dense with very ripe flavors and a finish where the alcohol is slightly noticeable. Riper than what I like, but still pretty good in its style. 43,286 bottles and 1,200 magnums.
