The supple, soft, richly fruity 2000 Crozes-Hermitage Petite Ruche is one of the finest Crozes Chapoutier has made. It is meant to be consumed during its first several years of life. Its Syrah character comes through in the black fruit, herb-tinged elegance. With respect to Chapoutier's red wines, 2000 was a very fine vintage.
