The 2000 Pinot Noir Yamhill Cuvee is medium to dark ruby-colored and reveals toasted oak and dark fruits in the nose. Muddled spicy black fruit flavors make up this medium-bodied wine's flavor profile. While it lacks precision, this offering has admirable depth of fruit and structure. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.
When asked his opinion of 2000, winemaker Tony Rinders stated, "six to twelve months ago I would have told you I preferred the 1999s, but now I believe 2000 is clearly the better vintage because of its floral component and higher acid levels."
