The 2009 Chianti Colli Senesi wraps around the palate with an attractive burst of dark red fruit, leather, licorice and spices. There is an immediacy to the 2009 that the 2010 doesn’t have, but I find more persistence and better overall balance in the younger vintage. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2015.
