The 2014 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, which is sourced from Rognet and to a lesser extent "Le Charlemagne," has a brisk, quite mineral-driven bouquet with nascent energy. White peach aromas develop alongside tinned apricots. The palate is fresh and vibrant with citrus lemon, apricot and orange zest. It is not a complex Corton-Charlemagne, but it shows more harmony and depth than many others that I have tasted. This comes recommended.
