Falanghina is a variety that has become very popular, especially in the last few years. Most versions can be cloylingly sweet, but not here. Taburno’s 2007 Falanghina reveals white peaches, crisp green apples, mint, wild herbs and minerals on a silky-textured frame. This is a reference-point wine for what Falanghina can be at its most elegant and refined. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2009. This cooperative based in Campania is an excellent source for wines that express the qualities of the region’s indigenous grapes.A Marc de Grazia Selection, various American importers, including Michael Skurnik, Syosset, NY; tel.
