The heat and ripeness of the vintage are evident in the 2011 Parcela El Nogal, a feature that I remember from the other wines from the same vintage. On the other hand there are some herbal and leafy notes that are a bit disconcerting and also something a little reductive. The palate is full-bodied with some lactic and berry flavors, coated by plenty of tannins and lots of oak notes. This is a ripe, heady and oaky Tempranillo for fans of that style. 20,000 bottles produced.
