The 2009 Spatlese Riesling is made in a lower alcohol, sweet style (78 grams per liter of residual sugar). It is intensely scented of lime cordial, orange essence and jasmine with hints of preserved ginger, white pepper and coriander seed. Though incredibly crisp in the mouth (pH of just 2.95), the freshness is well balanced by the sweetness, and the layers of aromatic flavors just go on and on. Drink this now to 2017+.
