Remarkably low yields of 18 hectoliters per hectare have resulted in one of the most seriously endowed, concentrated wines of the vintage. Coming in at 14.5% natural alcohol, the 2008 Peby boasts a dark purple color as well as hints of lead pencil shavings, white chocolate, blackberries, blueberries and a touch of new oak. This seamless, evolved offering is ideal for drinking now and over the next 15+ years. It is a big, modern-styled, exuberant, flamboyant St.-Emilion that old school traditionalists may have trouble accepting.
