Awkward, disjointed, and dominated by new wood during its first decade of life, this wine has come on strong over the next 4-5 years. It is a dense, muscular, brawny-styled Burgundy whose oak has been soaked up by its superb concentration as well as overall size and mass. The color is a dark plum/garnet. The nose offers sweet black fruits intertwined with chocolate, smoke, dried herbs, and earth. Dense, chewy, and thick, with abundant richness, glycerin, and depth, this striking premier cru should continue to last for 5-7+ years.
