Pikes' 1997 Shiraz is outstanding. It offers a saturated ruby/purple color, a sweet, peppery, blackberry-scented nose with a suggestion of eucalyptus in the background, medium to full body, adequate acidity, a fleshy, flamboyant style, and a lush, heady finish.
