The 2003 Gran Seleccion is made only in the best vintages. Made from 100% Tempranillo, it has splendid aromatics with notes of mineral, scorched earth, espresso, incense, and black cherry that leap from the glass. On the palate it is muscular, large-scaled, and still tightly wound. It has superior fruit extraction, full tannins, plenty of spicy fruit, and a lengthy finish.
