The 2008 Almirez went through malolactic in barrel followed by 12 months in French oak. A glass-coating opaque purple color, it offers up aromas of cedar, espresso, licorice, tapenade, violets, and blackberry. Structured on the palate, it has excellent depth, concentration, and length. Give it 2-3 years in the cellar and drink it from 2013 to 2023.
Bodegas Teso La Monja’s wines are made from 100% Tinta de Toro.
