The 2015 Almirez was also produced with Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo) grapes from ungrafted vines, fermented in stainless steel with yeasts selected from their own vineyards and matured in oak barrels, 30% of them new, for 14 months before bottling. This is a powerful, ripe and concentrated red that is generously oaked in the house style but shows very good balance and no excess. 95,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2017.
