The 2014 Mas Mallola is mostly Garnacha with 35% Cari?ena from a vineyard in Porrera that names the wine and was planted some 18 years ago. It fermented in a mixture of cement, oak and stainless steel vats with indigenous yeasts. The wine matured in French barriques for 14-15 months. The nose is mostly about sweet spices and smoke, with a lactic hint. The palate is dominated by tannins that leave an astringent sensation. Better with powerful food. There are 10,000 bottles produced.
